The Radar Systems Zond Aero 1000 “NG” is a lightweight, next-generation ground-penetrating radar (GPR) system designed specifically for UAV integration, ideal for applications such as snow and ice profiling, buried object detection, and environmental subsurface mapping.
The “NG” (New Generation) model introduces a high-speed real-time sampling controller, delivering data with exceptionally low noise and high resolution. Operating at a centre frequency of 1000 MHz, it provides detailed near-surface imaging to depths of several meters, making it highly effective for environmental and geotechnical applications.
When paired with SPH Engineering’s SkyHub onboard computer and UgCS EXPERT software, the system enables fully automated terrain-following GPR missions with synchronized data collection and visualization. The Zond Aero 1000 NG can also be used in terrestrial mode using its integrated Li-ion power source and Wi-Fi connectivity.
