The GeoScan side scan sonar range from GeoAcoustics delivers advanced, broadband dual-frequency performance for professional seabed mapping and underwater imaging. Both models use ultra-short pulses, pulse compression, and dynamic variable aperture focusing to enhance resolution across the track and at range, while automated image equalisation ensures high contrast and definition of features. The GeoScan 2361 operates at 300 kHz & 600 kHz, optimised for greater range performance and reliable large-area coverage. The GeoScan 2491 runs at 400 kHz & 900 kHz to provide even higher resolution imagery for detailed seabed characterisation. Each unit includes embedded pitch, roll, heading and pressure sensors for accurate navigation and depth data. These systems support demanding tasks such as hydrographic surveying, object detection, underwater inspection, archaeology, pipeline tracking, and environmental assessment.
