AlphaGeo Sponsoring Didcot Casuals Football Club

We recently headed over to Didcot Casuals to film the Under 17s playing in the Oxfordshire Youth League, and here’s what Deaglan, our drone pilot, thought about the day:

Great Experience:
The club was super welcoming, and the energy from the young players made for some awesome footage. The atmosphere was buzzing, which really helped bring the shots to life.

Perfect Weather:
We got lucky with the weather – clear skies and hardly any wind, which meant the drone was rock-solid in the air. The only slight challenge was dealing with changing light as the action moved across the pitch.

Drone Performance:
The drone handled everything like a champ! It kept up with the fast-paced action, and we got some great tracking shots and overhead views that really show off the game.

Challenges:

• A few people moved around near the filming area, which meant making some quick adjustments.
• We had to be careful not to get in the way of the game, but good communication helped us avoid any issues.

Ideas for Next Time:

• It’d help to have a marked-off area for filming to keep spectators clear of the gear.
• Bringing along a ground camera could add another angle and make the final video even better.

Overall Thoughts:
It was a great day of filming at Didcot Casuals. We captured some exciting moments and learned a lot about shooting youth football. Looking forward to the next one!
